KCubed was founded, by Kayla Amani Smith, with one purpose, to turn creativity into meaningful, wearable expression.

My journey started in the 9th grade at age 15 in 2018, creating custom sashes and slowly expanding into shirts and other personalized pieces. What began as a small creative outlet quickly grew into something bigger than I ever imagined.

A defining part of that journey was my mom investing in my business early on and encouraging me to “get out her pockets,” which pushed me to turn KCubed into something self-sustaining and intentional. That moment became a turning point, where KCubed shifted from just an idea into a real business built on discipline, accountability, and ownership.

While attending North Carolina A&T as a student, my business began to take off. What started on campus turned into a growing brand that eventually began shipping worldwide to over 27 states and counting. That season taught me consistency, resilience, and the importance of showing up for your vision even while you’re still becoming it.

I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and I am currently based in Hampton, Virginia.

At the center of everything I do is my faith in Jesus Christ. I believe He has guided this entire journey, from every opportunity, to every connection, to every open door that came at the right time. KCubed is not just creativity, it is purpose being lived out through faith, discipline, and obedience.

KCubed is more than a business, it is a reflection of growth, purpose, and creativity working together.

Fun fact: KCubed is a math equation. In high school, I had a deep love for math and even considered becoming a math teacher. KCubed represents K to the third power, KaylaAmani’s Kreative Kreations. It symbolizes the multiplication of creativity, identity, and purpose.

Every piece created is intentional. Whether it’s a graduation stole, custom corset, jersey, or group order, each design is made to represent individuality, confidence, and celebration.
